App and booking

Does the Visitors app work on both Android and iPhone?

Yes, the Visitors app can be dowloaded for Android in Google Play as well as iOS in App Store.

How do I become a member of a parking group?

When you have registered as a user, you need to become part of a parking group. You will receive three suggested groups that are geographically closest to you. If none of the suggested groups are right for you, there is a search bar where you can type in a specific area/group name.

Can I be a member of several parking groups?

In Copenhagen and Frederiksberg, you can only use Visitors in the area that you have a residents parking license for.

In Hillerød and Kolding, everyone can become members and use Visitors to book parking for free.

Is it possible to book ahead?

Yes, you can book ahead, for example it is possible to make a booking that will start in a week.

In the app it says ‘An error occurred - are you connected to the internet?’

It usually works, if you log out and log in again. You log out, by pressing ‘Profile’ in the menu at the bottom and clicking ‘Log out’. Is it possible to add more than one car?

Yes, it is possible to add more than one car.

Is it possible to be more than one user registered with the same car?

Yes, those who share a car, can all benefit from Visitors. You simply add the car to the different accounts separately.

Is it possible to book disability parking?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to book disability parking specifically, in advance, but you can park in disability parking at all locations that have it available. It is rare that they are all being used.

Can I book a parking space, with a charging station for my electric car, in advance?

You can freely use any charging station available at the parking area where you have made a booking. Unfortunately, it is not possible to book one in advance.

Parking

Do I need to set my parking disc, when I park my car?

No, that is not necessary. In the app under the section ‘My active bookings, you have a receipt for your booking. This is a digital permit, proving that a booking has been made during the period appearing on the receipt.’

It is not indicated by the signs at the parking area that I can park with Visitors?

If the parking space is within the area mentioned and shown in the Visitors app, then you can definitely park there when you have made a booking. A Visitors booking is equivalent to a time-limited parking permit. Always read the specific instructions in the app and in the area you are parking in regarding any parking spaces that may be reservered or any areas you may not be allowed to park, where a Visitors license cannot be used.

I have made a booking with a wrong license plate, can I change it?

Yes, if you press ‘Parking’ and find the booking in question. Then you will be shown which license plate is used for the specific booking. To change the license plate used, simply press on it and then you will be able to make changes.

How can I be sure that I am parking in the right place?

Every parking space in the parking groups has a specific description with images. Always make sure you read the description. There may be specific guidelines for the area you are parking in and the individual parking space. For example it may be that you have to park on the right side of the parking area.

I have received a parking fine - what do I do?

If you have received a parking fine, you need to contact the company that has issued the fine. If the parking fine was issued during a period of time, when you had an active Visitors booking, you should contact Visitors at info@visitors.dk or by phone at +45 71 99 00 07.

Can the parking attendant see the parking permits issued by Visitors?

Yes, the parking attendant can see them. In connection with the booking, the registration number of the car is sent to the parking operator’s database. Therefore by scanning the car’s license plate, the parking attendant can see that there is a valid parking permit issued by Visitors for the specific location and time frame booked - as it appears on the receipt.

Parking with EasyParks automatic license plate recognition has started, even though I have a valid Visitors booking?

If you have made the Visitors booking, before entering the parking area, then it will not impact you that EasyParks automatic license plate reconition parking has begun, as EasyPark will not charge you for the parking, if you only park there within the Visitors booking. If you do park there for longer than the duration of your Visitors booking, then EasyPark will charge you for the extra time, you may have been parked there outside of your booking. Please contact us, if you experience any unexpected issues.

Copenhagen

Where can I use Visitors in the municipality of Copenhagen?

Who can use Visitors in Copenhagen?

If you have a residents parking license to one of the areas of Copenhagen where Visitors is available, then you can book parking spaces ahead and make bookings for free in the area of your license. For example, if you have a residents parking license in Vesterbro, you can become a member of the groups Vesterbro, in the app and book parking there. Vesterbro.

How many bookings can I have at a time?

In all the groups located in the Copenhagen Municipality, you can have 2 active bookings at a time, each lasting up to 72 hours (3 days).

I have two bookings in continuation of each other, can I stay parked in the parking space/parking garage?

Yes, you do not have to leave the parking space/parking garage between two continuous bookings.

What happens if I leave the parking space before the end of the booking?

If you leave the parking space and do not intend to come back, please remember to stop your booking in the app - then others will be able to enjoy the benefit of it and book and use the parking space.

Parking with EasyParks automatic license plate recognition has started, even though I have a valid Visitors booking?

Can I use Visitors with a loan car license, commercial license, workshop license, or for my guests?

Unfortunately, Visitors can only be used for cars with a residents parking license in Copenhagen.

Can I use Visitors, if I have a residents parking license for my motorcycle?

Ja, det kan du godt. Vær dog opmærksom på, at hvis du ønsker at parkere i p-huse med bom og nummerpladegenkendelse, går bommen ikke automatisk op, da motorcykler ikke har deres nummerplade foran, og dermed ikke kan læses af kameraet. Ved bom-anlægget skal du derfor i stedet trykke “Ring op” og informere servicepersonalet om, at du har en booking i Visitors.

Is there a maximum amount of Visitors bookings I can make within a year?

No, there is no yearly limit to the amount of bookings you can make. The only limit to bookings is that you can have 2 bookings at a time, that each can last up to 3 days.

Can I extend my booking?

If you do not already reach the limit of bookings and the parking area has an available parking space for booking in the requested time, then yes. An extension of a booking counts as a new booking.

Frederiksberg

How do I park in Codanhus in Frederiksberg?

It is important that you make a booking in the Visitors app beforebefore you enter the car park. It can take up to 1 minute from the time you have made a booking until it is registered in the system.

How many bookings can I have at a time?

In th Frederiksberg group, you can have 3 active bookings at a time, each lasting up to 7 days (168 hours).

Does my booking end when I drive out of Codanhus?

No, you are welcome to drive in and out of Codanhus within the booked time period, your booking will not automatically end. Your booking is active within the booked period, regardless if you drive in and out of the booked parking spot. We do recommend that you annul your booking, if you do not intend to use it at all or the remaining time, when you have left the spot. So others are able to use it and benefit from it as well.

Where can I use Visitors in Kolding?

How many bookings can I have at a time?

In Kolding you can have 5 active bookings at a time, each of which can have a duration of up to 24 hours.

Hillerød

Where can I use Visitors in Hillerød?

How many bookings can I have at a time?

In Hillerød, there are no restrictions on how many active bookings you can have. The maximum booking length depends on times of usage and availability of the specific parking space in question.
